History/Overview
Chrysler broke new ground in 2017 with the introduction of the Pacifica Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of its then-new upscale minivan. While the standard gas Pacifica has added lower-priced trims in recent years, Pacifica Hybrid is still positioned as a premium vehicle.
What's New / Key Changes from Last Year
For 2020, Pacific Hybrid Limited gains a new Red S appearance package option; a standard honeycomb grille on all trims; standard garage door opener and second-row sunshades for Pacifica Hybrid Touring; and one-touch second-row power windows in Pacifica Hybrid Limited.
Available Trims
For 2020, Chrysler offers the Pacifica Hybrid in Touring, Touring L and Limited trim levels. All three use the same powertrain, which mates a 3.6L V6 with an electric motor fed by a plug-in rechargeable battery.
Standard Features
All Pacifica Hybrid models come with 17-inch wheels. Other standard items in Touring trim include bright door handle inserts, a garage door opener, second-row sunshades, automatic on/off headlights, power sliding side doors, LED taillights, heated side mirrors, tilt-and-telescopic steering column, seven-passenger seating, driver's seat memory, a 12-way power driver's seat with lumbar, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a six-speaker stereo, auto-dimming rearview mirror, 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster display, ambient lighting, LED courtesy lights, lighted interior door handles and three-zone automatic climate control.
Pacifica Hybrid Touring L adds a power tailgate, leather upholstery, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.
Limited trim brings one-touch power windows for the second row seats, Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, 12-way power front passenger seat, navigation, a 13-speaker stereo, two-tone steering wheel and a rear-seat entertainment system.
Key Options
The new Red S package adds red Nappa leather upholstery, gloss black exterior trim, features from the Pacifica's Advanced SafetyTec group, a 20-speaker stereo, Uconnect Theatre and a tri-pane sunroof.
Pacifica's Advanced SafetyTec option brings adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning with autonomous braking, front and rear park assist and rain-sensing wipers. A less-expensive SafetyTec option brings blind spot monitoring with rear park assist.
Limited can also be optioned with a 20-speaker stereo.
Fuel Economy
Chrysler estimates Pacifica Hybrid fuel consumption at 8.0/7.9 L/100 km (city/highway) in gas-electric hybrid mode, and 2.9 Le/100 km when running on electricity.
Competition
Chrysler faces no direct competition for the Pacifica Hybrid, as it's the only 2020 model-year minivan with a gas-electric powertrain.
